New Mexico Green Chile ‘Hot Pocket’ Relleno

Preheat oven 400

1 box of Frozen Puff Pastry (thawed)

2 ½ cups of Fresh (or frozen and thawed) Roasted Green Chiles

1 egg beaten

Unroll the Puff Pastry  (see fig 1a below)

 

On the long half closest to you divide the chile in strips add long cut piece of Sharp
Cheddar Cheese to your taste, I use a big hunk.

Moisten between each strip

Fold towards you and press on moisten lines to seal. Cut into individual Pockets and press edges with a fork to seal further.

Place on Cookie sheet to bake and brush completely with beaten egg.

If you have Pizza Stone place them on the stone that has been preheated with the oven, to insure crisp bottom.

Cook 15 to 20 or until Golden Brown
